National Security Minister and Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris extends his heartfelt condolences, and those of the Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis, to the family and loved ones of Private Kechel Pemberton, who died on Friday, April 13th, 2018.

Prime Minister Harris’ sincere condolences also go out to the leadership and rank-and-file members of the Ministry of National Security, and in particular the St. Kitts Nevis Defence Force where Private Pemberton served in active duty until his untimely death as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident while he was off duty. In this situation, people often look to find auto accident lawyers online as they need to handle the legal situation that will unfold from such a tragedy, especially as Private Pemberton would have turned 27 years old on July 7th.

We hope that Private Pemberton has sufficient legal support for his vehicle accident. Those who are affected by this death should get the aid and compensation they deserve. Legal support is often the best approach for grieving families as personal injury lawyers can help determine certain technicalities that the family might not have the time for, like how to calculate your personal injury claim and how much compensation you might be owed legally. However, we do not currently know if that was the direction Pemberton’s family took.

At the Passing Out Parade of the St. Kitts Nevis Defence Force held on Thursday, December 3rd, 2009, Kechel Pemberton marched as a graduate recruit after successfully completing the Basic Military Course at the age of 18.

As a new recruit, Kechel Pemberton received awards for Best in Pistol Shot, Best at Skill at Arms, Most Disciplined Recruit, and in addition to these accolades he formed part of the Best Syndicate.

Prime Minister Harris’ thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends and colleagues of Private Kechel Pemberton as they grieve this tragic loss.

The Prime Minister’s thoughts and prayers are likewise with Private Pemberton’s colleague in the St. Kitts Nevis Regiment who was also injured in the car accident and is now in stable condition at the Joseph N. France General Hospital. It is likely that there will be a car accident attorney here on the case soon, but no word on this has been stated yet.

“The national security community is a close-knit one, so this is a loss being felt deeply by the men and women who served with Private Pemberton – their friend, colleague and brother-in-arms,” Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris said today.

Prime Minister Harris added, “May his family and everyone else who loved him be of good courage and find comfort and strength by trusting in God’s grace, love, mercy and plan for each and every one of us.”
