Basseterre, St.Kitts (November 24th 2016):- VAT Day 2016  is expected to be the largest shopping day in the history of the Federation of St.Kitts-Nevis . The upcoming holiday season will also be the largest shopping period ever in the federation  with expectations of significant growth in Sales numbers due to the recently announced Christmas Sugar Mas Stimulus Package by Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris  .

With the economy having experienced yet another year of continued growth and the country among the top economic performers in the Caribbean AND Latin America the VAT Day 2016 is likely to be the biggest sales day in the history of the federation. Retailers including Auto Retailers have stocked up in unprecedented fashion . Auto imports and sales in the Federation for 2016 has seen record breaking numbers with retailers selling more vehicles than any other year in history . The Auto retailers are expected to move well over 300 vehicles on VAT Day 2016 alone.  

Other retailers are also reporting unprecedented stocks to accommodate the expected volume of sales activity due to the announced stimulus package which includes an extra months salary for all civil servants. The “Double Salary” will see an injection of at least $30 million into the St.Kitts-Nevis economy which will no doubt drive up the sales activitiy which is expected to be unprecedented.

Retailers seem to be falling all over themselves competing to see who can announce their holiday VAT DAY deals the earliest. The airwaves have been buzzing with deals , deals and more deals to capitalize on the stimulus and the upcoming VAT Day.

Some retailers will be opening as early as 5am and closing as late as midnight to adequately accommodate the tremendous activitiy that is expected.
