Basseterre, St. Kitts, July 26, 2019 (SKNIS): Local artists in St. Kitts and Nevis will soon have an opportunity to showcase their talents on a designated channel soon to be launched on Ultra TV at The Cable, says its Chief Executive Officer, Patricia Walters, who appeared on Wednesday’s, July 24, edition of “Working for You.” 

“We want to be able to give back and enrich the lives of our customers and our people in the nation,” she said. “An example of that is content. So we have reserved a channel for local content. 

Ms. Walters outlined why it was important to have a channel, which showcases local talent.

“We know that we have so much talent in St. Kitts and Nevis and that if only they had an avenue to showcase that talent, who knows what will happen with them,” she said. “It could be regionally adapted, it can be the show that takes off virally. So they need to have somewhere to show it.” 

The Cable’s CEO stated that the channel is in the pipeline and would be available at the right time in the Cable’s journey to revolutionize TV in St. Kitts and Nevis. 

She stated that local videographers and content providers can ask for regular slots on the local channel. 

“What we will try to do is facilitate this so that we can showcase what people can do and what talent we have here,” she said.

As of August 1st, 2019, persons can experience a whole new package of channels via Ultra TV. The CEO stated that it is something “very exciting and very innovative” and that persons can look forward to this new initiative.
