St. Kitts Welcomes the Inaugural Call of Niuew Statendam
Basseterre (19th January, 2022): St. Kitts welcomed the inaugural call of the cruise ship, Niuew Statendam, of Holland American Cruise Line today, 19th January 2022. Minister of Tourism, Transport and Ports, The Hon. Lindsay F.P. Grant, said it was an honour for the destination to welcome the captain, crew and passengers of the Niuew Statendam for the very first time. “Each time a new ship visits our destination it signifies the confidence that our cruise line partners have in St. Kitts to deliver quintessential Caribbean experiences to their passengers,” Minister Grant said. “So I implore our stakeholders to safely continue to do everything in their power to ensure a welcoming, memorable and enjoyable visitor experience for all of our guests.” The Niuew Statendam is the second cruise vessel in Holland America’s Pinnacle Class collection. The ship features a mix of engaging daytime and night times activities, the B.B. King’s Blues Club, specialty restaurants that features cuisines from Asia, France and Holland, a spa and fitness center. The destination continues to work with its cruise line partners in its efforts to rebuild the cruise sector. |
