ST.KITTS POLICE INVESTIGATING MID MORNING SHOOTING IN BASSETERRE, TWO POSSIBLE SUSPECTS NAMED
Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 13, 2016 (RSCNPF): The Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) is currently investigating a shooting incident that resulted in injuries to two persons on Friday morning (May 13) on Cayon Street in the vicinity of Greenlands. The shooting occurred at around 9.10 am.
Initial investigations revealed that the victims were walking along Cayon Street when they shot at by an unknown assailant(s). The victims received gunshot injures and were taken to the J. N. France General Hospital for treatment.
The scene was canvassed by the Violent Crimes Unit, the Criminal Investigations Department and technicians from the Forensics Services Unit. The investigation is ongoing.
Assistant Commissioner with Responsibility for Crime, ACP Andre Mitchell said, “I appeal to general public to come forward with any information they may have regarding this incident. If you were in the area and may have seen something, call us.” He added, “we want to hear from you. You can do so by calling any Police Station in the federation or Crime Stoppers, our confidential hotline, at 1-800-8477 to share information.”
