St. Kitts’ Celine Wilson Joins NYPD Following Family Legacy in Policing

New York, NY – Hailing from the storied community of Newtown, St. Kitts and Nevis, Celine Wilson has officially joined the ranks of the New York Police Department (NYPD). The freshly minted officer completed the rigorous six-month NYPD Police Academy training, marking a significant milestone in her journey of public service.

Wilson’s commitment to law enforcement follows a proud family tradition. Her maternal grandfather, Mr. Fernando Marshall, was a distinguished police officer in St. Kitts. Inspired by his legacy, Wilson pursued her passion for criminal justice, graduating from John Jay College in June 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Before embarking on her NYPD career, she worked as an investigator, further solidifying her skills and dedication to justice.

Her mother, Carleen Hughes Richards of Newtown, St. Kitts, expressed immense pride in her daughter’s accomplishments, noting the determination and resilience Wilson has shown throughout her journey.
