Prime Minister and Parliamentary Representative for Constituency #8, the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew, led the official handing over ceremony of a new climate-smart home in Conaree, showcasing the government’s commitment to sustainable housing solutions. Developed by East Coast Housing Development Limited in collaboration with the National Housing Corporation (NHC), the event symbolized a significant step towards addressing housing challenges in the region.

The ceremony, attended by Cabinet Ministers, government officials, and well-wishers, marked the culmination of efforts to provide affordable and resilient housing options. Ms. Shamara Huggins, a resident of Conaree, was announced as the proud recipient of the new home. The climate-smart home comes fully equipped with essential amenities, including furniture, appliances, and one year of free internet service, ensuring a comfortable living environment for Ms. Huggins and her family. Prime Minister Drew reiterated the administration’s commitment to constructing 2400 homes across Saint Kitts and Nevis, showcasing superior quality and affordability.
