Opposition St.Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Supports New Police High Command

Basseterre, St.Kitts (February 17th 2016):- The recently announced New High Command of the Royal St.Christopher and Nevis Police Force has gotten the thumbs up and the support of the opposition Dr. Denzil Douglas led St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party .

In a release issued the Opposition MP Konris Maynard stated “I encourage the leadership of the Police Force now to work hard, work together …………..,” said Member of Parliament for St Christopher 3 (West Basseterre), Hon Konris Maynard, who further admonished the police leadership “to do your job good.”
“Be independent and search for consensus among all stakeholders in our society. The Government and the Opposition (must) work together with the community to provide and assist wherever we can……….. Do good and let us rally behind you and let us bring down the scourge of crime which threatens the future of St Kitts and Nevis,” Maynard said on Wednesday’s edition of the popular “Issues” talk show on Freedom FM 106.5.
