Rising fashion designer sixteen year old Mikaya Collins received the call of her dreams when D’Marsh a well know Jamaican designer invited her to display her talents in New York later this week

Minister Hamilton met with the young talented designer and offered his full support on Wednesday 21st and further shared a moment at the family home on Sunday. He shared some photos with both mom and daughter

Mikaya who has already won local designer competition, impressed when D’Marsh visited St. Kitts scouting for talented designers

Speaking with her mother Isis Phipps, she disclosed that her daughter began cutting up everything that was fabric since she was six years old, including the curtains and the flat sheets, using them to make clothes

Mikaya has grown to be a self taught fashion designer who will now be on stage with Gucci and other top brands

The young artist leaves St. Kitts on Monday along with her mother and we wish her every success in her endeavors
