NDC Abdias Samuel has extended gratitude on behalf of the National Emergency Management Agency and by extension, the Government and people of St. Kitts-Nevis to Mr. Crispin Boon, a local entrepreneur who donated a ThermoFlash Infrared Thermometer LX 26E, to the national COVID19 resistance.

The donation was accepted on behalf of the National COVID19 Task Force by Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Hazel Laws during the National Emergency Operations Centre COVID19 Briefing, for Wednesday June 17th, 2020.

Mr. Boon shared that he had been monitoring the national fight against the dreaded Coronavirus for months, and following much consideration, determined to support the efforts in a meaningful way.

Boon’s Environmental and Cleaning Services was established in 1995, conducting mold testing and cleaning, indoor air quality testing and mitigating impacts related to occupational safety and industrial hygiene, among other services including disinfecting, sanitising and cleaning with direct correlation to the Coronavirus.

Along with the Thermometer, which has been deemed a necessary tool in the fight against COVID19, Mr. Boon has committed the services of his company FREE of charge, to the Ministry of Health, by Cleaning, Disinfecting and Sanitising the Respiratory Side of the Accident and Emergency Department of J.N.F. Hospital. This donation is valued at thousands of dollars and was well received by all members of the NEOC, NEMA and the Ministry of Health.

“We are very happy to to collaborate with NEMA, the Ministry of Health and the COVID19 National Task Force,” Mr. Boon said, “as we continue to strive to keep our Federation clean and free of the Coronavirus.”
