Say Hello to St. Kitts and Nevis’s Newest LTE Network

Saint Kitts and Nevis, April 12th, 2019: After continuous augmentations and enhancements to its products and sites, Digicel is thrilled to announce that its customers can now enjoy blazing mobile speeds on the Federation’s fastest network. This major move is part of the Digicel 2030 global transformation programme, in which Digicel promises to take telecommunication to the next level with an ongoing global network expansion. Today, much to the delight of all stakeholders, all optimization is complete and Digicel is proud to feature almost 50 sites across St. Kitts and Nevis offering incredible improvements in download speed, streaming quality and call clarity to all of its customers.

LTE is among the very latest in commercially available mobile data technology, boasting speeds up to 10 times faster than 4G. With these upgrades, users are now capable of simultaneously running multiple applications without any glitches. This offers the ability for large files to be shared in quick time and also enables hiccup free High Definition (HD) videos and real time streaming whether on a smartphone, tablet or other internet-enabled device.

“We are quite aware that Data is extremely important to the way our customers connect, work and play and we’re absolutely ecstatic about moving data at much faster speeds so our customers can enjoy a better, faster and more seamless experience with us,” said Business Consumer Manager Justin John. The new LTE data network will work flawlessly with its existing 4G network – making Digicel the fastest mobile data network available on both islands.

In light of these advances, Technical Manager Justus Victor expressed “It’s exceptionally commendable that besides the upgrades to the way people connect, LTE gives a tremendous boost to local productivity and opens up significant earning and employment opportunities for the people of St. Kitts and Nevis.”
