Closing Seminar of the INTERREG Project “CAMBIONET” from November 27th to December 1st in Guadeloupe


November 27th to December 1st, 2023
The project for agroecological and bioeconomic transition and the agri-food and economic performance of
the Caribbean/Amazon Region was officially launched on Friday, March 26, 2021. This project is funded by
the European Regional Cooperation Funds INTERREG Caribbean V.
Organized as a consortium, the “Caribbean and Amazonian Bioeconomic Network” (CambioNet) brings
together the main R&D and higher education organizations, agricultural extension and advisory services
from 10 countries, and has formed around INRAE Antilles-Guyane, the project leader.
To conclude the 2 and a half years of collaborative work on CambioNet,
a closing seminar organized by INRAE Antilles-Guyane will take place
from November 27th to December 1st, 2023, at Hotel ARAWAK, Gosier.
Seminar Objectives
During this week-long seminar, the primary objective is to bring together a wide range of partners and
stakeholders: over 200 participants representing public/political institutions, research and development
organizations, agricultural extension and advisory services, associations, professionals, etc., to exchange
ideas on the work done.
Schedule and Highlights
The seminar will include workshops with professional farmers, policymakers, Operational Committees
(COMOP), field visits, and the official closure will prepare for the second phase of the project.
This week of exchange and sharing on agro-ecology and bioeconomy in the Caribbean/Amazon will officially
share the main strategic and structuring deliverables and those with operability and impact, as well as the
progress and original results obtained after two and a half years of the project.

*Monday, November 27th – 9 am-5 pm: Seminar with Bouquet du Terroir Sud Guadeloupe (BTSG).
Peasant alternatives to building sustainable production for the health of the Caribbean
populations.
*Wednesday, November 29th – 2 pm-5 pm: Living Lab Public Policy Workshop. Co-construction of
public policies in favor of bioeconomic development in our territories.
*Thursday, November 30th – 2:30 pm-6 pm: Official Closing Seminar.
