Today, we raise a toast to Shannon Hawley, the dynamic, charismatic, and stunningly innovative Chairwoman of the St. Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee! Shannon is much more than a powerhouse in Carnival leadership; she’s a game-changing entrepreneur, a mother extraordinaire, and a highly accomplished business executive whose influence extends across the Caribbean and beyond.

With over 12 years of international experience in business development, marketing, and sales within the luxury real estate market and Caribbean citizenship programs, Shannon has built an illustrious career. Her sharp strategic mind has made her an invaluable leader in diverse industries. Currently, she serves as the Managing Director of Rosamond Consulting Ltd., while also overseeing her thriving ventures, Refresh Juice Bar and Xpress Events—a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and boundless energy.

Shannon’s impact on the St. Kitts and Nevis Carnival is legendary. As the first female and youngest Chair of the National Carnival Committee in 2011-2012, she shattered glass ceilings. Remarkably, she achieved the distinction of being the first person appointed twice as Chair under two separate government administrations. Her trailblazing vision brought the Carnival to life during the pandemic with successful virtual editions, a feat of creativity and resilience.

But her contributions don’t end there. Shannon has revolutionized event management, notably through Xpress Events’ VIP Experiences at the St. Kitts Music Festival. Her ability to seamlessly blend tradition with innovation has ensured that both Carnival and music festival attendees enjoy world-class experiences year after year.

Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The University of Western Ontario and a Master of Business Administration (Distinction) from the University of Brighton, Shannon exemplifies how education and ambition combine to create a leader who inspires greatness in others.
