BVI: Erick Rabsatt wanted in connection with murder of Jamiez A. J. Stoutt
- RVIPF issues arrest warrant for 21-year-old Tortola resident
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Police have issued an arrest warrant for Erick Rabsatt, 21, of Pasea Estate, Tortola, who is suspected in the shooting death of US Army war veteran Jaimez A. J. Stoutt on December 11, 2021.
The arrest warrant has been circulated within the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) and throughout the three islands of the US Virgin Islands, the RVIPF stated in a press release this afternoon, January 10, 2022.
Officers of the Major Incident Team are asking family members and associates here and abroad to encourage Rabsatt to turn himself in for his safety so he can be questioned in the matter. Since he is wanted in connection with murder, his security and those of others around him are at high risk.
Persons warned against harbouring Rabsatt
Police said persons found sheltering, hiding or harbouring this suspect can also be charged and upon conviction face hefty penalties.
Rabsatt is said to be slim built, approximately 5’10” tall, weighing between 160 and 170 pounds and resided in the Pasea Estate area.

The 31-year-old Stoutt was shot and killed in the early morning hour of December 11, 2021, while a patron at Crystal Nightclub and Sports Bar in Free Bottom on the main island of Tortola.
Mr Stoutt, who was an army veteran after joining the US Army in 2009, was also an army paratrooper and served in Afghanistan in 2011.
He was laid to rest with full military honours on January 8, 2022.
