Antigua and Barbuda Toasts to victory at the Caribbean Toastmasters Speech Contest

St.John’s , Antigua (November 2015):-Antigua and Barbuda Toasting to victory at the Caribbean Toastmasters district 81 speech evaluation contest held in St Croix.  Leading the country to victory was Toastmaster Cherry-Ann Casimir, Vice President Public Relations. The contest had participants from Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, St Vincent and the Grenadines, St Martin, St Lucia and Curacao.

 

The speech evaluation contest is held annually with the aim of improving the communication, critical thinking and evaluation skills of the contenders.  A speaker delivers a 5 to 7 minutes speech that is then evaluated by each representative within 2 to 3 minutes using different techniques. In addition, the club received the President’s Distinguished Club Award for the 2014/2015 toastmasters’ year while Toastmaster Tamara Valerie Elka Price and Cindy Price were the recipients of triple crown awards. Toastmasters International is a world leader in leadership and communication development resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.
