REPORT OF ARREST, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES -May 15th 2016
Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 15, 2016 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of and Arrest, Convictions and other Activities from the records of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force. For period 13-14 May.
ARREST AND OR BAIL:
Arrested: Shaquille Francis of Pedro Street, Sandy Point was arrested, formally charged and cautioned a Warrant in the First Instance for the offence of Wounding.
Arrested: David Payne of New Road Housing Project was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on a Warrant in the First Instance for the offence of Unlawfully and Maliciously wounding with Intent to do Grievous Bodily Harm. The incident occurred on May 11, 2016 in Basseterre.
Arrested/Bailed: Jeanette Neil of Hamilton was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on a Warrant in the First Instance for the offence of House Breaking and Larceny which was committed between 4th – 10th October 2015 at Farms Estate. She was granted bail in the sum of $20,000.00 XCD and ordered to appear at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on Tuesday 17th May, 2016 at 09:00 hrs in the forenoon.
COURT CONVICTIONS:
None to report.
OTHER ACTIVITY:
Burglary – Police is investigating an incident that occurred in New Pond Site in which a home owner called the Basseterre Police Station and reported that an unknown male entered her house with an instrument and demanded money. The complainant’s bag with money and other items was taken.
Armed Robbery– Police responded to and are currently investigating a report of an armed robbery made by a business owner in the New Road area. Investigations revealed that on 14th May 2016 at about 9:50 P.M, two masked men entered the shop and robbed the business of a sum of money and other items. There were no physical injuries to the owner. The incident is being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Department and the scene has been processed by the Crime Scene Unit.
Burglary- Police responded to and are investigating a report of Burglary at the residence of the Attorney General, Hon Vincent Byron Jr. at Greenlands which occurred in the early morning of May, 15 2016. Investigations revealed that a female handbag and other items were taken. The scene was processed and the investigation is ongoing.
Armed Robbery – An adult resident of adult of Bath Village reported to the Charlestown Police Station that he was held robbed by three unknown masked assailants of a sum of money. The investigation is ongoing.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS: The Police School Liaison continue to visit assigned Primary and Secondary Schools in the Federation. The effort is to encourage good citizenship amongst our youth.
