WATCH: CDB offers Emergency Relief Grant to Dominica
The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) has announced a US $200,000 Emergency Relief Grant for Dominica in the wake of Tropical Storm Erika.
Heavy rain from the storm claimed 20 lives and caused islandwide destruction, leaving several communities cut off as a result of damaged roads and bridges.
A statement from the CDB says the funds are being made available under the CDB’s Disaster Management Strategy and Operational Guidelines, and is aimed at assisting the country in its response to the disaster.
