Youth leaders encouraged to apply for the prestigious One Young World Summit

Youth leaders aged between 18-30 are encouraged to apply for the prestigious One Young World Summit, which will be held in Bogota, Colombia, from 4-7 October 2017.

Via the All Bar None Scholarship, young people in St. Kitts and Nevis are eligible to apply for fully-funded places at the Summit, which brings together world leaders (known as ‘Counsellors’) and young changemakers from around the world.

Past Counsellors have included Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, Kofi Annan, Sir Richard Branson, and Arianna Huffington.

“The One Young World Summit is an amazing opportunity to network and exchange perspectives with like-minded peers and leading global figures,” said Melissa Bryant, a Delegate Speaker at the 2016 Summit in Ottawa, Canada.

“As St. Kitts and Nevis is normally under-represented, there is an excellent chance of being selected for the scholarship. I strongly encourage young people in the Federation to apply and benefit from this experience.”

One Young World is a UK-based charity that aims to empower youth leaders to make lasting connections to create positive change. For more information on the organisation, visit its website.
