Kim Collins BREAKS National Record at British Meet.

Caribbean Sprint Legend continues to turn back the hands of time . The 38 year old world sprint icon ran a PB time of 9.96 to place second at the  Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games on Sunday . The Commonwealth Games Warm Up meet in Great Britain saw Collins blaze to his fastest time ever and breaking his own National Record of 9.98 seconds which he ran some 12 years ago when he won the Commonwealth Games Title in 2002 in Manchester.  Micheal Rodgers won the race in 9.91 seconds.

Collins run is also the fastest time ever run by an athlete 35 years and older. Making him the fastest Master Sprinter in history.

Collins, despite his age, continues to maintain his stamp as the fastest sprinter ever past and present  from St. Kitts and Nevis and in the OECS.

Jamaican Nesta Carter was third in 10.00 with Chijindu Ujah fourth in 10.13.
