It was a sad scene at the Marriott golf course last evening (June 9) as the lifeless body of an employee was fished from the pond at the 7th hole.

After hours of searching for 28 year-old Kishorna “Budah” Challenger of St. Pauls, the worker’s body was recovered sometime after 6 pm. The woman was reportedly mowing the shrubbery around the pond early that morning before a coworker realized she was missing. Her equipment was subsequently located near the pond.

There were several early reports that Challenger had possibly drowned in the pond, however police confirmed that afternoon that they were actively searching for the missing employee. Local divers assisted police and Coast guard in the retrieval under the watchful eyes of friends and family.

Many commented on Challenger’s jovial nature and said they were still in disbelief, one having spoken to her that morning and others the day before the tragedy.
