Minister of Tourism, International Trade, Industry and Commerce, The Hon. Lindsay F.P. Grant, said it was important that the people of St. Kitts & Nevis are able to capitalize on the increase of cruise ship arrivals to the destination.

“The cruise sector is now filled with opportunities for enthusiastic individuals, and the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the St. Kitts Tourism Authority will continue to seek sustainable growth in the entire tourism industry,” Minister Grant said.

Minister Grant pointed this year St. Kitts will break the one million mark of cruise passengers visiting in a cruise season.

“Port Zante’s location in Basseterre and the large variety of unique and authentic tours makes St. Kitts a very special port of call,” Grant said.

The five ships visiting St. Kitts on Thursday were the Aida Luna, Thomson Celebration, Celebrity Eclipse, Wind Surf and Silver Wind.
