Basseterre, St.Kitts (May 19th, 2018):- St.Kitts-Nevis Minister of Tourism Hon. Lindsay Grant met with the project development team of the Six Senses Spar Resort-St.Kitts over the last week.  The 30 plus member team was comprised of architects , Project Managers,  landscape engineers, Interior Designers  and  Marketing Experts.

The team is on island creating the framework and design of what will be the first 7 Star Hotel on the island and in this region of the Caribbean.

The large team used the Park Hyatt Resort as their work-base for the few days that they were on island as they worked tirelessly to come up with what is expected to be a one of a kind world class luxury resort.

Hon. Grant met with the team as they passionately brainstormed and came up with design concepts and ideas for the resort.
“They worked well into the night and had an immense passion for what they were creating. They were taken aback with the beauty of LaValle and its enormous economic potential for the people of the Federation. They were surprised that we will have so many signature hotels in the next few years unparalleled anywhere else in the Eastern Caribbean. Kudos to the Team Unity Government” said Minister Grant.

In line with Six Senses’ commitment to the environment, the resort’s 70 villas will be built with sustainable and repurposed materials. Each villa will have a private plunge pool. Accommodations will feature Naturalmat mattresses and energy-efficient lighting and air conditioning that can be adjusted with the touch of an iPad. Arriving guests will be transported to their villa by electric buggy.

Dining venues will highlight Caribbean seafood and produce from local growers and the resort’s fruit, vegetable and spice gardens.

Other facilities: the Rum Shack, a swim-up bar at the main pool, the Grow With Six Senses teen center and kids’ club, the Six Senses Spa with a yoga pavilion and gym, and an on-site dive center.

The project is slated to begin in September 2018 .
