St. Lucia National Arrested And Charged for Kidnapping and Murder
St. Lucia native Kendal Felix at Brooklyn Criminal Court on Thursday.
A St. Lucia man accused of killing a well-known real-estate developer in Brooklyn’s Hasidic community was sent to jail Thursday pending his next court hearing.
Kendel Felix, 26 years old, was charged with second-degree murder and second-degree kidnapping in the January death of Menachem Stark, 39.
Mr. Felix, dressed in a black jacket and bluejeans, didn’t enter a plea at Brooklyn Criminal Court. His defense attorney, David Jacobs, didn’t ask for bail but reserved the right to do so later. Mr. Felix was sent to jail and his next court hearing is scheduled for May 5th.
Yitzy Stark, the brother of the victim, said, “Everyone knows he was a great man. It’s a good closure.”
Choked with emotion, the 30-year-old added that, “Our family will always be broken.”
Mr. Stark was confronted by two people outside his Rutledge Street office in Williamsburg during a Jan. 2 snowstorm and was forced into a light-colored Dodge Caravan, police said.
Mr. Stark’s body was found Jan. 3 in a smoldering trash can at a gas station in Nassau County. He has been bound with duct tape and burned, officials said. He died from asphyxia, according to court records.
Authorities said they believe Mr. Felix’s motive was robbery.
After the court hearing, Assemblyman Dov Hikind, a Brooklyn Democrat, commended investigators and said he hoped anyone else involved in the murder would be caught.
“This was simply an individual…who knew [Mr. Stark] had money on him,” Mr. Hikind said. “It was a robbery. That’s all it was.”

You Caribbean people who are running this site should be ashamed of yourself for bringing down your own people over a white man and some news to talk about instead you get the other side of the story or speak with the “kidnapper” family you run with what the news here is saying. Typical of black people to put down other black people. Just sad!!!1
