Prime Minister Pierre is Saving Residential Property Owners Millions of Dollars
The Government of Saint Lucia, under the leadership of Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre, has taken steps to provide additional tax relief to residential property owners. On March 19, 2024, the Lower House approved amendments to the Land and House Tax Act, extending the tax amnesty on residential properties in the country.
The amendment grants exemptions to local residential property owners and Sports Saint Lucia Inc., relieving them from property tax obligations for the financial year 2023. This move is expected to collectively save millions of dollars for local property owners, providing much-needed financial relief during these challenging times.
