Last month, the Nevis Tourism Authority proudly showcased the island’s rich history, culture, and charm at the Brown Folks Connect media reception in Manhattan. This exclusive gathering of 200+ top-tier media professionals provided an incredible opportunity to position Nevis as a must-visit destination.
Hosted by Candi Carter, Nevis’ Ambassador for Diversity, alongside leading media executives like Vladimir Duthiers, Kendis Gibson, and Cameron Jones, the event underscored Nevis’ deep historical connections and its appeal to travelers seeking an authentic Caribbean experience.
A special video message from Premier Mark Brantley highlighted Nevis’ ties to Alexander Hamilton and the legendary Cicely Tyson, celebrating the island’s profound cultural legacy.
Phéon Jones, Director of Sales and Marketing at the Nevis Tourism Authority, was in attendance to proudly represent the island, engaging with key media figures and sharing Nevis’ unique offerings.
Adding to the excitement, CBS News’ Ash-har Quraishi won an all-expenses-paid trip to Nevis, ensuring even more media exposure for the island.
