Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador to the US meets with North American based St.Kitts-Nevis Nationals

11181847_628674057267414_4453839275295626695_n Minister of Foreign Affairs the Hon. Mark Brantley hosted a townhall styled meeting last evening at the Bethesda Marriot Hotel in Maryland, USA. The meeting was organized by Brantley along with St.Kitts-Nevis Ambassador to the OAS His Excellency Dr. Everson Hull, to directly inform nationals based in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia and surrounding areas of developments in St.Kitts-Nevis since the Team UNITY government has taken office.
Scores of Nationals attended the event and were keenly engaged in discussions with the St.Kitts-Nevis Officials which also included newly appointed St.Kitts-Nevis Ambassador to the United States Her Excellency Dr. Thelma Phillip-Browne as well as Counsellor/Alternate Representative at the Embassy of St Kitts and Nevis to the United States/Permanent Mission to the OAS Justin Kareem Hawley .11200635_628674030600750_2374254756069721779_n
Nevisian Sherry Tross the OAS Executive Secretary for Integral Development was also present at the meeting and engaged the officials and nationals in a discussion on relations with Venezuela and other OAS countries in which she offered to provide whatever assistance is necessary for the new Team UNITY government to enhance International relations in that regard.
Nationals were keen on the current developments on the islands as well as future development. Questions were asked about the Geothermal Project which Hon Brantley indicated had received recent funding from the United States.
The meeting concluded at 11pm and persons remained and mingled with the St.Kitts-Nevis officials.
