The Hon. Samal Duggins, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Marine Resources and Cooperatives; Small Business and Entrepreneurship; Sports & The Creative Economy, unveiled their new multi-million dollar luxury office spaces at Port Zante. The cutting of the ribbon was a proud moment for Duggins .
Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew and His Excellency Michael Lin, Resident Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to St. Kitts and Nevis, joined the festivities, underscoring the importance of this monumental move into the luxury office space. The Government of Taiwan’s generous financial assistance ensured that these offices are not just functional but epitomize luxury, class and sophistication.
As Minister Duggins led his Cabinet colleagues through the impeccably designed office spaces, a sense of pride and excitement filled the air.
The exact figure of the investment in these opulent offices are yet unknown reflecting the lack of transparency that has been plaguing this Drew led administration. No details have been given regarding the cost of rental of the luxurious space and why was it necessary to rent a new space rather than renovating the government owned spaces at Laguerite and gov’t headquarters where the Ministries were last housed.
