BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – On Friday, February 7, 2025, Her Excellency Governor General Dame Marcella Liburd, GCMG, JP met with Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew in accordance with Section 57 of the Constitution of St. Kitts and Nevis, which mandates that the Prime Minister keep the Governor-General fully informed about the general conduct of government affairs.

This marked the first such meeting for 2025, reaffirming the constitutional duty of the Prime Minister to provide regular updates to the Head of State on matters for which the government is responsible.

In a gesture of appreciation and recognition of Dame Marcella’s second anniversary as Governor-General, Prime Minister Drew presented Her Excellency with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, symbolizing his administration’s respect and gratitude for her service to the federation.

The meeting underscored the importance of executive accountability and collaboration between the Head of State and the government, ensuring transparency in national governance.
