BASSETERRE (26th February, 2018): The Carnival Fascination has started weekly arrival to St. Kitts, after completing humanitarian services to FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, to help in the hurricane relief efforts in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
On Friday Carnival Fascination arrived with a maximum capacity of 2,594 passengers, and will continue to arrive every Friday for the entire year.
The Minister of Tourism, The Hon Lindsay F.P. Grant thanked the Carnival Cruise line for assisting in the hurricane relief effort.
“We are truly grateful to Carnival Fascination for assisting our brothers and sisters in their time of need. We indeed very proud of our partnership with Carnival Cruise.”
Last year in October FEMA charted the ship to provide housing for relief staff in St. Croix, which was hit hard by Hurricane Maria. |
