Dubai, United Arab Emirates (March 8th 2016):- Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris on Monday March 7, 2016 met with over 200 persons at the The packed Arabian, Court, Peligrane Ballroom in the One and Only Royal Mirage Resort hotel.

The Cocktail Reception and Town hall styled meeting hosted by the Consulate-General of St.Kitts-Nevis in Dubai, United Arab Emirates provided hundreds of Economic Citizens, Agents, Associates and other practitioners within the Citizenship By Investment programme or the International Immigration Investment community, an opportunity to hear directly from Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris regarding the current state of the programme. Prime Minister Harris outlined his government’s actions over the past year since taking office in recalibarating and reforming the programme which was long considered the Rolls Royce of CBI programmes.

Due to serious mis-management by the rejected Douglas regime the programme experienced some significant challenges. Most significant of the challenges was the decision taken by the Canadian Government to remove Visa Waivers from holders of St.Kitts-Nevis passports as well as the issuance of a US Treasury Advisory regarding the programme over what both the Canadian and US Government’s highlighted as the lack of due diligence by the Douglas led government in the administration and management of the programme.
PM Harris assured the hundreds in attendance that his newly elected Team UNITY Government has worked assiduously and diligently over the last year and described the prgramme at its present state as indeed the Rolls Royce of CBI programmes in the world.
Prime Minister Harris emphasized his government’s commitment to the further enhancement of the programme.
Dr. Harris also used the opportunity to lobby for investment in the country by those present.
PM Harris will on Tuesday address the Investment Immigration Summit. Dr Harris is accompanied by Attorney General Vincent Byron Jr, Cabinet Secretary Josephine Huggins, Her Excellency Ambassador Constance V Mitcham and Deputy Consulate General Mrs Elsa Wilkin-Ambrister.
