Dominica records 74 new COVID cases with 119 recoveries in a single day
Dominica has confirmed a total of seventy-four new COVID-19 cases taking the total number of the active cases to 350, as of November 15, 2021, according to the COVID-19 update report by the island’s Health Ministry. All of the new infections have tested positive by Rapid Antigen Test.

On the other hand, a total of 119 individuals have been discharged from the hospital facilities.
As per the report, there are a total of 5056 COVID-19 patients who got recovered from the deadly mutant, while since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak in the Caribbean country, it has recorded 5,441 confirmed coronavirus infections.
The Ministry of Health further informed that the island to date had conducted 100,771 COVID-19 tests, out of which 28912 are RT-PCR tests, and the remaining 71859 are Rapid Antigen Test.
While, a total of thirty-five people lost their lives to the deadliest mutant in Dominica, till now, as per the report.
Besides this, the report highlights islands’ vaccination rate, according to which so far, there are a total of 28557 individuals who are vaccinated by taking atleast one jab of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines, whereas a total of 26462 individuals are those who have received their second jabs of the COVID-19 vaccine and are now fully vaccinated.

Besides this, the Health Ministry is continuously urging the citizens to take their doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible so as to win this battle against the coronavirus and asked them to follow the COVID-19 health protocols such as – wearing masks, sanitizing frequently, and maintaining social distance.
The COVID-19 vaccine is also available for children between the age-group 12 to 18 years; the eligible children can visit the vaccination sites and can take their doses.
