BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, July 11, 2019 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris has expressed his satisfaction with the pace of construction taking place on the new development in St. Kitts—Hillsboro Sunset Suites.
Prime Minister Harris, accompanied by Minister responsible for Public Infrastructure the Honourable Ian Patches Liburd, was at the time speaking following a recent tour of the construction site.
Located at Mattingley Farm, Trinity, Hillsboro Sunset Suites is an approved project under the Citizenship by Investment Programme of St. Kitts and Nevis.
The tour of the construction site was led by owner of the development, Dr. Ken Ballantyne and Director of I&B Construction Ltd., Mr. Trevor Isaac. I&B Construction Ltd is the lead contractor on the project.
Also on hand was the Director of Public Works Department, Mr. Cromwell Williams.
The prime minister’s delegation was given a firsthand look at the work taking place on the new development and Prime Minister Harris expressed his delight in the progress being made so far.
Dr. Harris used the occasion to pledge the support of his Team Unity-led administration for the project, and noted that “investments in economic drivers of the economy like tourism, agriculture, fisheries, education and health will always have the fullest support of the Government.”
Dr. Ballantyne conveyed his sincere appreciation to Prime Minister Harris and his delegation for taking the time to get better acquainted with the Hillsboro Sunset Suites project, stating that it is a nice gesture when interest is shown in what one is trying to achieve in the context of the country’s economic growth.
While there, Prime Minister Harris also met and interacted with the various workmen on site, all of whom expressed their excitement in having been visited by the prime minister.
Upon completion, the Hillsboro Sunset Suites development will boast an administrative complex and nine residential buildings, housing 160 fully furnished one and two-bedroom luxury suites.
