preliminary reports a record number of nightly attendees, St Kitts tourism officials said this week.

“Now having completed twenty-two consecutive years and maintaining our position as

one of the largest and longest running music festivals in the Caribbean, we look forward to continuing

to raise the bar as we approach our milestone twenty-fifth anniversary in 2021,”

said St Kitts Tourism Minister Lindsay Grant.

Hon. Lindsay Grant and Chairman Damion Hobson on Tuesday July 10th less

than two weeks after the festival  announced that ALL Service Providers and

Peformers at the  hugely successful 3 night  St. Kitts Music Festival event have been paid.

This is unprecedented as never before in  the 22 year history of the festival all service providers that have submitted

their invoices within the first week following the festival have all been paid by the 2nd week following the  event.

This years festival has been labeled as one of the most successful stagings of the event if not the most successful one in history.

Headliners like Patti LaBelle, Ms. Lauryn Hill , Spice, Nu-Vybes Band International ,

Destra and KES The Band helped to make the SKMF 22 the tremendous success it was.

Other performances included an appearance by the Grammy-nominated  Nailah Blackman,

Chakademus & Pliers and  Sizzla Kalongi.

Caribbean star Destra.

“It was gratifying to see our planes arriving at full capacity and our hotels sold out.

Further, with the earlier nightly conclusions to performances, local establishments

had the benefit of additional business from after-parties,” said Racquel Brown, CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority.

“The St. Kitts Music Festival continues to have a positive impact on our tourism sector year after year.”

The event even trended on Twitter globally, a first for the event in its history.
