Gigantic win for the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, placing second in the 2018 Routes Americas Marketing Awards, for Excellence in Destination Marketing. St. Kitts went up against much larger destinations, including Las Vegas which placed first, Barbados, Hawaii, San Diego and Charleston.
Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) was announced as the overall winner of the Routes Americas 2018 Marketing Awards at a ceremony in Quito, Ecuador. St.Kitts was highly commended and was edged by Las Vegas as the Best Destination according to the annual awards event.
It’s no wonder that Myrle Beach won the overall award as it is a luxurious destination that has seen so much development and improvement in recent years. Now, not only are more holidaymakers jetting over to South Carolina but more people are investing in property. There has been an increase in the number of north myrtle beach condos for sale and this trend doesn’t show any signs of slowing. This could also be an indicator of people preferring to move here leaving their hometowns behind for a luxurious retirement. That said, moving from another state with all your belongings can be a hassle. People in such circumstances may need the assistance of a moving company like Myrtle Beach movers or a similar one that can take care of their grand move. These are all things judges took into account when looking into the different destinations nominated.
The annual Routes Americas Marketing Awards are highly regarded in the aviation industry because they are voted for and judged by airlines. They recognise the outstanding marketing services that have supported the launch of new air routes or the development of existing services.
In addition to the overall winner, the awards are judged in four categories. Myrtle Beach International Airport topped the ‘Under 4 Million Passengers’ category; Oakland International Airport won the ‘4 to 20 Million Passengers’ category; Seattle-Tacoma International Airport scooped the ‘Over 20 Million Passengers’ category; and Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority topped ‘Destination’ category.
St Kitts Tourism Authority were highly commended in the Destination category and was runner-up behind Las Vegas. St.Kitts Tourism Authority CEO Racquel Browne accepted the award on behalf of destination St.Kitts.
