(Thursday October 5th, 2017) Police on patrol in the Lightfoot area, acting on intelligence, intercepted two suspicious persons. According to information received, the two appeared to have been moving on an apartment in the vicinity.
Initial reports are that one opened fire on the Police and following a shoot, out two persons were gunned down.
The police are presently on the lookout for a vehicle which sped away from the scene. The number of persons in the vehicle is unknown at this time.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:30am today, Thursday.
ABS will provide further details as they come to hand.

The deceased have been identified asJamiel Hurst alias “Marlo” and Travis Bailey, aka Travis Martin alias “Ten Pound”. They said to be originally from Ottos, but resided in the Grays Farm area.
The bandits were dressed in camouflage jackets with hoodies and were each armed with semi-automatic rifles.
