New Years Message from Caribbean Sprint Legend Kim Collin

My friends, track and field is now under serious scrutiny. As we approach the year 2015, another World Championships year, our sport is under a lot of pressure from the dreaded issue of doping in sports. However! Don’t be alarmed, in the movies the underdog always win, while in real life this is not the case in the beginning, it is however so in the end. He, who laughs last, indeed laughs best. I do believe that I am a living testimony to the longevity of a clean athlete. Those who cheat are told that it’s the only way, that everyone is doing it. That’s what the suppliers want you to think. Just imagine, with all the doping in track and field, the fastest starter ever recorded, is I, Kim Anderson Collins. Pure and clean. According to spikes magazine. I therefore foresee a chance for clean athletes to prevail in the coming years. I hereby call on all athletes, coaches, federations, sponsors, fans, well-wishers parents and most importantly the volunteers of track and field to step up. Let your voices be heard. Continue to support the sport that we all love. Track and field will never die, why? The love of the honest, must out weigh the hate of the cheaters. In 2015, will mark 22 years of representing my federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. It does not matter where you are from and how long you have been competing. The sport has begun before we came, and it should continue to reign. Let track and field reign.
Just my thoughts.
Kim A. Collins
