St.Kitts-Nevis Prime Minister Hosts Hugely Enthusiastic, Informative, Interactive and Successful Townhall Meeting with Nationals in the BVI
Prime Minister of St.Kitts-Nevis Dr. Hon Timothy Harris met with a large and enthusiastic audience of Nationals of the Twin Island Federation in the British Virgin Islands on Saturday Evening October 22nd. The very interactive and informative meeting was staged at the Althea Scatliffe Primary School in Road Town, the British Virgin Islands capital city.
PM Harris used the opportunity to update SKN Nationals in the BVI on the significant strides and progress the country has made and is making since the new historic Team UNITY Government took Office in February 2015.

St.Kitts-Nevis Director of Constituency Empowerment and Diaspora Affairs Mr. Duncan Wattley presented at the meeting and gave an overview of his role. In particular with regards to Diaspora affairs in which the new St.Kitts Nevis Administration is making an unprecedented effort to directly and consistently relate to and interact with Nationals within the Diaspora.

Ms. Yolande de Castro, President of the Nevis Alliance Progressive Society (NAPS) of the B.V.I. chaired the evening’s proceedings while the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms. Clovelle Stevens, President of the St. Kitts Association of the B.V.I.
While in the BVI PM Harris also participated in an Interview on the popular UMOJA Programme on ZBVI Radio with host Mr. Cromwell Smith aka Edju En Ka. He took time out as well whilst in the BVI to attend the wedding of one of his Constituents Mr. Sean McCall who is who is a member of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force and also chairman of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Welfare Association.
The B.V.I.’s Leader of the Opposition, Honorable Julian Fraser, RA. Mr. Fraser, a registered architect who represents District 3, extended an invitation to Prime Minister Harris to be his special guest at breakfast in the company of his wife Mrs. Kharid Fraser and several St. Kitts-Nevis Nationals who live in his district.
The visit to the BVI is being characterized as one of the most interactive, informative and successful visits to the territory by a St.Kitts-Nevis Leader. The visit was the first by the Prime Minister Harris since taking office in 2015.
