President Maduro in St.Kitts
Basseterre, St.Kitts (September 23rd 2015):- President Nicolás Maduro arrived in St.Kitts for an official visit as part of ongoing Independence Celebration Activities .
Maduro arrived on Wednsday to a red Carpet Guard of Honour. A Presidential motorcade then journeyed to the CLICO Building , home of the Sugar Worker Restoration Fund Secretariat where Presdident Mduro took part in a Symbolic Handing over of cheques to former Sugar Workers
On Tuesday El Presidente Maduro told the Venezuelan Media that he was visiting the Federation as part of the country’s Independence Celebrations as well as to strengthen the ties between the two countries .
President Maduro said “Tomorrow I have an important visit to St. Kitts and Nevis, which is celebrating its independence anniversary, and our sister, the Commonwealth of Dominica,” said the president during his weekly show In Touch With Maduro.
“I’m going to continue to strengthen ties, review plans for cooperation, continue to help fellow countries of the Caribbean with Petrocaribe, ALBA (Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America), to further strengthen our relations, we are men of peace, we are a people of peace and revolution,” said Maduro.
