His Excellency The Governor-General Sir S. W. Tapley Seaton has undertaken a number of engagements over the weekend in both St. Kitts and Nevis.

On Saturday afternoon March, His Excellency travelled to Nevis and attended the Police Constable Awards of the Nevis Division of the Royal Saint Christopher and Nevis Police Force at which ten (10) Constables nominated by each section were competing for the Award of Best Constable of the Year. His Excellency presented Certificates and gifts to each of the nominated Constables. Speeches at this Awards function were made by Superintendent Mills, Commissioner Ian Queeley, JP, Premier The Hon. Mark Brantley, Prime Minister Dr. The Hon. Timothy Harris and Guest Speaker, Mr. Sydney Newton.

On Sunday evening, His Excellency The Governor-General attended the 55th

Anniversary Service of the Antioch Baptist Church and the Pastoral Ordination of Deacon Michael Penny. Pastor Penny was ordained by Lead Pastor Lincoln Connor and other Pastors of the Baptist Church. The Church was established by the late Dr. William Connor, OBE, the founder of the Baptist Movement in St. Kitts.

On Monday morning March, His Excellency joined the Honourable Chief Justice, Dame Janice Pereira, DBE at the Opening of an Exhibition, part of the commemoration of the 50ff Anniversary of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court which was established in 1967 as the West Indies Associated States Supreme Court. His Excellency The Governor-General and the Honourable Chief Justice jointly cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the Exhibition. His Excellency later toured the Exhibition which highlights historical aspects of the judicial personages and documents of the past 50 years.

At 12.15pm on Monday, His Excellency attended a special screening at the National Museum of a documentary entitled “The Secret Fortresses of the Caribbean Part 2 “produced by Mr. Patrick Baucelin of Martinique and presented by the Ministry of Tourism of St. Kitts. His Excellency The Governor-General complimented Mr. Baucelin on an excellent production.
