Jamaica-Born Raheem Sterling Named In England's World Cup Squad

Jamaica-born football player, Raheem Shaquille Sterling, was named in England’s 23-man squad for next month’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The  Maverley, St Andrew born  Sterling had a wonderful season for Liverpool in the English Premier League and hepled them to second place in the just concluded season.

He scored 10 goals in 34 appearances.

The 19-year-old winger represented England at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-21 levels.

He gained his first cap on the senior team in 2012.

Sterling started his career at Queens Park Rangers in England then was signed by Liverpool FC in 2010.

He has made 57 appearances for Liverpool and scored 12 goals.

Sterling migrated to England Raheem Sterling some 14 years ago.
