Basseterre, St.Kitts (January 10th, 2024):-The Government and people of Saint Lucia stand in solidarity with the CARICOM region on a solemn occasion as they bid farewell to the late Hon. Basdeo Panday, the distinguished fifth Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago. His burial marks the end of an era, but his trail-blazing legacy will forever resonate across the Caribbean.

As a co-founder of the United National Congress and a dedicated leader, Hon. Basdeo Panday prioritized the development and progress of his homeland, leaving an indelible mark on the political landscape of Trinidad & Tobago. His commitment to public service, social justice, and economic advancement has left an enduring impact that the region reflects upon with admiration.
