A woman of Nevisian descent was shot and killed in front of her children in a murder and attempted-suicide in Texas on Thanksgiving, police said.

Kishana Jeffers 30, who is the cousin of the Deputy Premier of Nevis Alexis Jeffers , was shot dead in front of her 3 young children by the father of her three children on Thanksgiving Day!
Daryl Stegall, the father of her children, went to her apartment on Thanksgiving day demanding her to open the door and when she did not he kicked the door down and shot Kishana then went back outside and shot himself in attempted suicide but he survived. Stegall, a truck driver, is now in critical condition in a Texas hospital.
“He was telling her that he was going to do something, but she didn’t think he would do it,” said Ahminya Overall, a close friend. “He was obsessed with her.”
Overall said Jeffers split with Stegall about eight months ago because his violence in front of their children. She left him and moved with the kids into a one-bedroom apartment.
“She was very scared of him,” Overall said. “Every time, she called me she told me she was scared. She told me that he had pulled a gun out on her.”
Jeffers called the Lewisville police four times in the last eight months.
In April, Jeffers reported that Stegall forced his way in and took off with a cell phone. She didn’t want him prosecuted. Later that month, she told police he made threats. Again, she didn’t want him prosecuted.

She called police twice in June.

Jeffers called police reporting she had been assaulted. Stegall was not there when police arrived. Police said they did not have enough evidence to file charges.
