San Bernadino Valley College Women’s Soccer sophomore midfielder Calvonis Prentice has signed her National Letter of Intent with Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
Prentice a Tahquitz High School girls soccer standout participated in all 24 games for SBVC in 2016 scoring 7 goals and notching 6 assists helping the Wolverine offense score 89 goals in just 24 matches, which was the third highest amount in the state. Calvonis will join fellow Valley Soccer sophomores Jazlynn Martinez and Audrey Salas who signed with NOSU last month.
The Valley College Women’s Soccer Team finished the season ranked 8th in the nation by the NSCAA, ending the year with a 19-1-4 overall record and a 12-0-3 conference record. They were rewarded with a #5 seed in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. As a reward for their eighth Conference Championship, the team was bestowed with the Conference Coach of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors as well as four first team All-Conference players.
Northwest Oklahoma State University is located in Alva, Oklahoma. The Rangers are coached by 3rd year head coach, Craig Liddell. In the 2016 season, the Rangers went 0-18. Northwest Oklahoma State University is an NCAA Division II institution whom plays in the Great American Conference.
Calvonis is the daughter of Adonis Hanley-Prentice of Market Street and the Neice of Netball and Basketball Administration Icons Juliette Hanley-Liburd and James “BARMAN” Hanley .
