The University of the Virgin Islands’ Voices of Inspiration Community Choir presented an exceptional, spectacular and culturally- enriching concert tour performance of “A Musical Journey Through Time” in the elegant Saba “St. Kitts” Ballroom at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort Hotel on Saturday, August 6.2016.
The UVI Voices of Inspiration opened this musical concert and cultural heritage education journey with songs of Africa then spiritual roots of gospel and as the production continued sounds of classical, jazz, bebop, hip-hop, Caribbean-flavored gospel and more created a crescendo of music, drama, theatre and liturgical dance that captivated and inspired movement to virtually all in this well-attended event.

Exquisite and vibrant choreography of movements, sounds and spirit throughout the entire concert were professionally, artistically and spiritually led by UVI Music Program instructor and director of the UVI Voices of Inspiration, Mrs. Josephine Thomas Lewis, The “unity of the community” was vibrant, joyful and reflected the ambassadorial spirit of UVI with a special touch of the people’s cultural-capital of St. Croix as the Voices of Inspiration Community Choir are based within the music program within the UVI College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences on the Albert A. Sheen Campus in St. Croix.
