The three men who were allegedly involved in a shooting incident with the police last week were remanded to prison.

Twenty-four-year-old Jaeviania Simon of Freemans Village, 24-year-old Asonie Benjamin and 19-year-old Tyricke John both of All Saints appeared before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel in the All Saints Magistrate Court this morning

They are facing charges of breaking and larceny, shooting with intent and two counts each of possession of firearm and ammunition.

Bail was not discussed at today’s hearing since magistrates do not have the jurisdiction to offer bond for firearm related offenses

Last Monday, police responded to a report of a break-in at All Saints Secondary School when they were reportedly fired upon by the accused.

The trio were later apprehended and taken into custody.

Investigators reported three firearms were seized during the investigation

The men are due back in court for committal proceedings on March 27, next year.
