St Kitts & Nevis sets the Scene for 5Star Akil’s Next Music Video

(Basseterre, July 2, 2019): Recent performer on the 23rd Annual St. Kitts Music Festival, Trinidadian Soca artiste 5Star Akil chose the twin-island federation as the backdrop for the music video for one of his upcoming Carnival 2020 releases.

Titled, “Love Potion”, the groovy number sees 5Star Akil smitten by a Kittitian beauty who has his eyes and his eyes alone!

5Star Akil, whose real name is Akil Borneo and who performed on the Thursday night of the festival did so while being backed by local dancers of Poise SKN.

He traversed the island from the Peninsula to Brimstone Hill and Nevis to create the perfect visuals for ‘Love Potion’.

Companies such as the St. Kitts Scenic Railway, Blue Waters Safari and St. Kitts Marine Works Ltd came onboard to provide additional support for the music video.

“I really enjoyed my time in St. Kitts and performing at this year’s music festival,” 5Star Akil said. “The energy and love I received from this island were unbelievable! Everyone was so helpful, so warm and so friendly. I was particularly impressed with the level of talent on the island.”

He praised Desi Brown and her team at Poise SKN for their professionalism and talent and made mention of two of her dancers Saskia Evans and Desanne Maynard who were his dancers at the festival.

He also made mention of Geeta Persaud and Regiwell Francis who made sure everything was set for the music video.

Special thanks were also extended to his liaison officer during his stay, Denville ‘Prynce’ Francis.

“I would also like to use this opportunity to commend the St Kitts Tourism Authority and the Music Festival committee for a job well done and for staging one of the best music festivals that I’ve ever experienced!”
