St.Kitts-Nevis 2015 State Scholar and Runners-up named

Christian Bryden of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College is St. Kitts and Nevis’ 2015 State Scholar.
Bryden secured the top spot this year, with Grade I passes in all eleven subjects that he wrote , and also achieved the Most Outstanding performance in Natural Science.
A release from the Ministry of Education states that both the First and Second Runner Up this year, earned six Grade I passes from seven qualifying units.
However, in accordance with the established criteria for determining a tiebreak, CXC computed the General Module Performance for them and it was determined that Tyler Martin of Nevis Sixth Form College had 16 – As, 4 – Bs and a C, while Jamalje Bassue of the CFBC had 15 – As, 4 – Bs and a C.
Therefore, Martin is the 2015 State Runner-up State Scholar and Bassue is the Second Runner-up.
The release further states that the State Scholar ranking is based on candidates’ performance on the 2014 and 2015 Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE).

Candidates are ranked by the highest number of Grade 1 passes obtained in seven qualifying units and then other criteria in the event of a tie.
