Sandy Point PRIDE FANmily wills team to roaring victory over fireballs as the Bigger , Better, and More Exciting SKNABA League Continues

On a night dedicated to it’s supporters, the PRIDE roaring lions found themselves locked in a keenly contested matchup. The kind of game that can either sharpen chemistry or soften character.

With just over 6 minutes, 22 seconds remaining in the game, Conaree held a 4 point lead but Sandy Point responded with an timely run that heavily featured it’s co-captains.

“Especially in front of our HubCity guests, this is a team that we expected a challenge from,” Randy Desuza- Team Manager said. “Had we lost, this would’ve been one that probably would’ve made the drive back to Sandy Point a long one!”

BOX SCORE: PRIDE 86 – Fireballs 78.
Taslin ‘Mini-Wade’ Belboda finished with a game high 25 pts to go along with 8 Rebs 9 assists and 3 stls. The team needed every bit of Mini’s scoring following what many saw as the questionable ejection of Chavez ‘Beto’ Belboda (14 pts 3 rebs 4 assist & 2 steals) in the 3rd quarter, while co-captain Sheeno ‘Jeezy’ Liddie contributed Sheno 17pts 14 rebs 2 assists, including a huge go-ahead bucket with under 5 minutes remaining in the game.

“These kind of games are a good test for us,” Sheeno said. “So the fact that we’re coming out pretty successful in these late-game situations, it’s only good for us because we know that’s how the playoffs will be.”

Miguel ‘Sought Out’ Browne continues to grow with every start, posting a hard fought 9 pts 14 rebounds 2 assist n 2 stls.

“Our guys came out and made big plays,” PRIDE coach Rambo said. “This is the league. You never know. All you can do is stay the course and keep your focus and execute down the stretch. That’s what we did and whether you win by 80 or you win by 8, it’s a good win.”

The players, coaching staff and management of PRIDESports takes this opportunity to express sincere gratitude to our honorary guest Tavarez Fahie as well as all our invaluable FanMily members for coming out in their numbers and sharing in our first ever appreciation game!
