Post Mortem reveals that American doctor of Nevisian Parentage died from heat stroke
A post mortem examination was conducted on the body of 31 year old, Samyka Harris Edwin on Wednesday, May 6, 2015.
The examination revealed that Edwin died as a result of Heat Stroke also defined as Hyperthermia. Hyperthermia is the overheating of the body possibly due to extreme weather conditions.
Edwin, a doctor by profession and resident of North Carolina was hiking the Gros Piton trail along with her husband, also a doctor when she suddenly collapsed, never regaining consciousness on Sunday, May 3, 2015 about 3:45 p.m.
