Poll St Lucia app launched

(St.Lucia Times, June 5th ):- With the mobile phone penetration rate in Saint Lucia averaging in excess of 120% over the past five years along with growing comfort among mobile users with the daily use of mobile apps, there is no greater and more accurate means for soliciting the views of our electorate than via this means. Recognizing the fervour and excitement around Saint Lucia’s General Elections thisJune 6th along with the ever present risk of voter apathy among youth, eMagine Solutions Inc has created and launched “Poll St Lucia”.
This free yet powerful app allows voters to indicate their preferences for electoral office based on their constituencies. The information is submitted anonymously with only basic profile information being collected about gender and age group along with party and candidate choice. Once a user has completed his or her voter profile, that user will be able to see the aggregate submission from all the voters who have downloaded the app.
“This app allows Saint Lucians to freely make their voices heard wherever they are,” says Ian Mitchell, Managing Director of eMagine Solutions Inc. “We encourage all persons of voting age to download and to feverishly share this app with friends and family so that we can all get a truer picture of what the people of Saint Lucia, home and abroad really feel about their parties and candidates.”
The app is available for Android via the Google Play Store or for iPhone via the Apple Store by searching for “Poll St Lucia.” It can be downloaded via the company website.Alternatively, iPhone users may download the app from iTunes while Android users may download it from Google Play.
Media houses are encouraged to discuss the results of the polling as part of their programming relating to the upcoming elections. Click here to view the leader-board.
With General Elections scheduled to take place this coming Monday, eMagine is hoping that Saint Lucians play a major role in spreading the word about “Poll St Lucia” and to let their voices be heard in the coming days.
